What foods will make your rabbit happy?

 


Rabbits are herbivores and their diet should consist primarily of fresh vegetables, hay, and a small number of pallets. Vegetables like carrots can be given occasionally in a small amounts to make your baby bunny happy. Fruits like apples, pears, and bananas can also be given but in small numbers. 

Hay should make up most of a rabbit's diet as it is essential for their digestive health and helps wear down their constantly growing teeth. Oat hay, Timothy hay, and brome hay are all good options. Fresh vegetables like kale, lettuce, and broccoli can be given as a daily supplement but should be limited as it contains a high amount of sugar which can upset your rabbit's digestive system. 

Pellets should be given in small quantities. Ones with high fiber and low sugar content are highly recommended. 

Fruits to feed your rabbit only once or twice a week:

Water: Must Be Given 

Rabbits need access to fresh, clean water at all times. Water can be provided in a water bottle or a bowl, but it is important to make sure that the bottle or bowl is cleaned and refilled with fresh water daily. Some rabbits may prefer a water bowl, as they may not be able to get the water out of the bottle easily. 

It's also important to note that rabbits should not be given tap water because chlorine and other chemicals can be harmful to them. If you are concerned about the quality of your tap water, you can use filtered water for your rabbit. 

Dehydration can be dangerous for rabbits so it's important to make sure that they have access to water at all times. If you notice that your rabbit is not drinking water, it could be a sign of an underlying health issue, and you should consult with a veterinarian. 

It's also important to not that rabbits are prone to obesity and dental problems, so it's important to monitor their diet and weight to keep them healthy and happy.
